ORBIT
The map tracks the ISS's real position using true orbital math (SGP4). The bright trail is where it just was; the thin dim line is its whole flight path. The icon points the way it's actually flying.
POWER
Battery %, power rails, bus voltage/current, and solar output describe the ISS's electrical health, like your phone's battery %, but split across independent circuits for safety.
GROUND CONTACT
Real antennas around the world can only talk to the ISS while it's above their horizon (AOS). Triangles on the map light up the instant that happens, and a beam shows the live link.
ALERTS
NOMINAL / SAFE / EMERGENCY is the ISS's overall health, like a traffic light. If the battery hits zero, contact is lost completely and the orbit decays until you hit RESET.
